A lot of people ask Roy and the rest of us, if ferrets can get along with other animals.   We say that they can, it depends on the animal.

My husband and I have three dogs, 2 Jack Russells and a Patterdale terrier.   There is no way that the boy Jack would be aloud to play with the ferrets, all he wants to do is bite them.   But the two bitches will play with them.   Misty used to play a lot with the younger ones when they were babies but they got a bit too much for her as they were always biting her and she never bit back.

Tess though will play with my husbands kit, Tiny Tim and my small jill, Ivy and Bobby who belongs to Roy but is on holiday with us.   The babies jump all over Tess biting her nose, eyes and lips and she lets them.

This is not the case with all animals so you will have to supervise and monitor them all the time.

One night in early April we had a phone call from a person who lived near Howlets Zoo asking us if we could take in a ferret, which had been found in their back garden.   We asked them if they could bring it to us but they said it was to far for just a ferret and they would release it back into their garden again.

After a discussion with my wife we decided that for the sake of the ferret we would rarther collect it as we were worried about them living so near to the zoo that it might have become food for some other animal.   So we went to get the ferret.

When we got there we found out that it was a little jill, who Chris (my wife) named April, and she had a few friends to come home with her.   We got her home and parted her from her friends.   She was so very relieved that she started running around her new home with joy.

She is now looking for a good loving home.
These are some of the friends that were parted from April
This Albino jill has just come into the centre. She has a very bad eye infection which we hope to cure for her.
Her name is Tilly And we hope to find her a better home than she had, and some one who will give Tilly lots of love.
Unwanted bred kitts but why breed if you dont want them
`Today i received a phone call from a person who told me that a friend of theres had 9 kitts that he did not want, and he was going to put them in the freezer which he said is the best way to get rid of them. But this person had seen us at a show,so she asked if she went and collected them would we take them.I did not have to think about the answer YES.I even offerd to go and collect them myself. As i would like to see what sort of person would do such a inhuman act.
